Long Tailed Minivet We were coming back from Pangot to Corbett, enroute we saw this bird sit in a twig over looking the valley. It was a chance sighting and all we could manage was one click before this flew away. This is marked as least concern as per the IUCN classification.

Hill Partridge

Hill Partridge The common or necklaced hill-partridge is a species of bird in the pheasant family that is found in Asia. We were proceeding from Pangot early in the morning to look for Cheer Pheasant and on the way we found this little one foraging by the road side. All we got was a couple of clicks and the bird ran away into the bushes and then to the valley. It was a wonderful sighting and the early morning light added to the beauty.
