Tiggu cub, Ranthambore

The tiger cub was sitting a little further away from the track. The cub was resting while the mother was away and the sibling was sitting a little further away in the shade. This was just when the Sun about to say good bye, image made in the last few rays of the sun.

Golden Jackal, Ranthambore

One of the first sightings in the trip, the Jackal was on the run and probably heading back to its den. It went a little further away from where we saw first and then as typical of jackal turned around to look at our vehicle.

Cattle Egret – Breeding plummage

The cattle egret in marriage dress – Breeding plumage.  Cattle egret is mainly white plumage, a yellow bill and greyish-yellow legs. During the breeding season, cattle egret develops orange-buff plumes on the back, breast and crown, and the bill, legs and irises become red.

Vernal Hanging Parrot

A small cute bird about 15 cm with a very short tail. This is a female of the species, the male has a red beak and small throat patch that is blue in color. This image was made in the morning and was anti light. However very happy to click this image during a family trip.

Brahminy Kite Juv

Just like black kite brahminy kite is also a scavenging bird feeding on dead fish and crabs by the rivers / lakes and ponds. This bird finds a place in the Hindu mythology as Garuda. Unlike the adult the Juvenile lacks the distinct white head and the markings.
